Mayan splendor lives on in Dzibilchaltún

As every year, from very early, even before the first ray of the sun has appeared, thousands of visitors come together in the archaeological zone of Dzibilchaltún (just 10 km. north of Merida) to appreciate one of the most important archaeoastronomic phenomena of the Mayan World. As if they agreed beforehand, the moon awaits the appearance of the sun, which, in a matter of seconds, takes over the Temple of the Seven Dolls. It is then when it is time to recharge energy with the rays of the sun and welcome the spring.
