Mexico is doing NOTHING to help stop the flow of illegal
immigrants to our Country. They are all talk and no action.
Likewise, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador have taken our
money for years, and do Nothing. The Dems do not care, such
BAD laws. May close the Southern Border!

Washington — U.S. President Donald Trump threatened again to close the southern border by criticizing the inaction of Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador to curb the flow of immigrants to the United States, El Universal reported.
“Mexico is not doing ANYTHING to help stop the flow of illegal immigrants to our country. They just talk and do not take action,” Trump wrote in his Twitter account. “Likewise, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador have taken our money for years, and  they do NOTHING. The Democrats do not care, such BAD laws. I may close the Southern Border!” he tweeted.
The U.S. president has criticized his neighbor from the south on numerous occasions,
for, in his opinion, a lack of action on the caravans of migrants who transit their
territory to the United States and from the countries of the Northern Triangle of
Central America.
In December, he threatened to cut off the foreign assistance he gives to Central America.

This Wednesday, the head of the United States Border Patrol, Kevin McAleenan, warned of
a “breaking point” in the southern border of the country due to the lack of resources to manage the
growing arrival of migrants.

From El Paso (Texas), one of the hot border points, McAleenan acknowledged that its agents are overwhelmed and are releasing “reluctantly” the immigrants arrested after performing superficial background checks.

Trump has declared a national emergency to finance the construction of his controversial wall with
Mexico because of the refusal of the U.S. Congress to provide funds for it.

In addition, the president was forced to issue on March 15 the first veto of his Presidency
to tackle the resolution passed by Congress, including the Senate that has a majority
of Republicans, against his national emergency.

Trump seeks to reach a total of $8 billion dollars for his long-awaited border project
diverting some $6,600 million previously approved for the Pentagon and the Department of
Treasury.

After weeks of negotiations between the Defense portfolio and the Department of National Security,
responsible for border security, the Pentagon announced this Monday, well into the night, its
decision to divert a billion dollars to erect 57 miles of new border wall, build and
improve roads and install lights.
