Museum of the city of Merida presents photo/painting exhibit

This museum, dating from the time of the Porfiriato, presents every two months different works, from all disciplines of art.

In February, the exhibit of the month belongs to the photographer Javier Corona Baeza and the painter Manuel Lizama, called “The Merida of yesterday .. Merida of today”, who in collaboration gave life to photographs with painting techniques.

The hall below presents a collection of 20 pieces, the most outstanding and in smallest, and on the third floor we find the 43 original works of the painter.

Each of the paintings represents urban characteristics and customs of the population at a time already remote, reliving the memories of those who now walk the same streets in a city with a different rhythm of life today.
