Officials plan to inaugurate Edzna’s new video-mapping in December

Campeche’s Secretary of Tourism, Jorge Manos Esparragoza, announced plans for the month of December to inaugurate the new videomapping of the Archaeological Zone of Edzná. Since necessary permits to present it to the public are in place, it will also be one of the most modern in the South.

Regarding the issue of transportation to the archaeological site, he explained that he has met with various tour operators and representatives of the private initiative to offer the service at affordable prices.
“You have to work together so that everyone wins, but also that the local and foreign tourists will marvel at the new videomapping offered by Edzná,” he said.He added that the road that leads to the archaeological zone is also improved so that visitors and tour operators can make the trip more quickly and safely.

Manos Esparragoza said that with the expansion and improvement of the highway, the estimated time of arrival in Edzna will be 30 minutes. Lighting improvements are also planned.
“We want tourists when they travel to Edzna to feel safe, so we are working hand in hand with the Ministry of Public Works and the Ministry of Communications and Transportation,” he said.The state official added that the project in Edzná will please Campechanos and the tourists who visit the pre-Hispanic vestiges, since it will offer history about the site, turning it into a very attractive place.Text and photo: Agency
