Vila officially declared winner of Yucatan governor election

The PAN candidate Mauricio Vila Dosal won the election for Yucatan governor with 447 thousand 753 votes, reported the Electoral and Citizen Participation Institute of the State of Yucatan (IEPAC) in special session for the final count of the votes.

Vila Dosal, former Merida mayor, was also nominated by the Movimiento Ciudadano party.

In second place was Mauricio Sahuí Rivero, who was a candidate of the PRI-PVEM-Panal coalition, with 407,802 votes.

The third place went to Joaquín Díaz Mena, from Morena-PT-PES, with 231,330 votes.

In the fourth place was the PRD candidate Jorge Zavala Castro with 21 thousand 968 votes.
